Yasir Saleem is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in FUN Team at INRIA Lille - Nord Europe, France. He completed his Ph.D. from Institut Mines-Telecom, Telecom SudParis, Institut Polytechnique de Paris, France in January 2020. He received his Master (by research) degrees in Computer Science under dual degree programme of Sunway University, Malaysia and Lancaster University, United Kingdom in 2015. He was also Research Assistant at MIMOS Berhad, Malaysia for the duration of his Masters. He worked as software developer at KNYSYS for about one year.
His research interests include Internet of things (IoT), vehicular networks, edge computing, smart cities, privacy preservation, wireless networks (cognitive radio networks, wireless sensor networks and cognitive radio sensor networks) and routing (flat and clustered). He is also a reviewer of various journals, such as IEEE Transaction on Wireless Communications, IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Wireless Communications, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, Pervasive and Mobile Computing Elsevier, Ad Hoc Networks, Computer Networks, IEEE Access and many more, as well as of various conferences, such as IEEE ICC, IEEE Globecom, MICC and IWCMC. He was also in TPC of IEEE Globecom 2020 COVID-19 workshop, IEEE NetSoft STET Workshop 2018, FMEC 2018, FMEC 2017, FMEC 2016 and MELECON 2016.
